Please Join Northeast High’s  Academy of Finance Career Seminar  (Tuesday, April 5^th, 2022)

On Tuesday, April 5^th, the Academy of Finance (AOF) will be hosting a Career Seminar for students and parents to learn about a variety of jobs in the Tampa Bay Area.  The Career Seminar will take place from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. The Seminar will be held in the Cafeteria at Northeast High School.   Set up will begin at 5:00 PM. 

The format will be an introduction to the seminar with all participants and then an “exhibit setup” where each company/organization will host a table.  Students and parents will make their way throughout the cafeteria visiting with tables/companies they have interest in. We encourage participating businesses to advertise their company/organization (banner, tablecloth, tri-fold, etc) and, if possible, please bring marketing materials and/or giveaways to share with the group.  We expect 100 students to attend, and hope for more.

Our goal is for students and parents to explore a variety of career fields and network with our business professionals.   Our Career Seminar aligns with the mission of the Academy of Finance – for the education and business communities to work together to ensure our high school students are college, career, and future ready!

At this Career Seminar, you will find future interns or employees that have career readiness skills including communication, time management, teamwork, conflict resolution, and more.

Industries of interest (based on past student surveys):  Business Management, Communications/Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Financial Services, Healthcare, Legal ... But any industry is welcome to attend the Academy of Finance Career Seminar!
